Enjoy an Adventure Bicycle Tour Jekyll Island's Golf Course Loop and You'll Want to Hit the Links

You'll like this adventure bicycle tour, riding with your family beside wide open spaces along the Golf Course Loop.

From the Millionaire's Village, follow the bike trail up Shell Road and along Beachview Drive. Turn down Capt. Wiley Road. You'll travel through more live oaks until you break into the open beside Oleander Golf Course.

As you're bike riding down Capt. Wiley from Beachview Drive, Oleander will be on your left. Pine Lakes and Indian Mound courses are on your right.

Riding down Capt. Wiley, the clubhouse will be on your left. Watch for golf carts from the clubhouse crossing the bike path on their way to the first tee of either Pine Lakes or Indian Mound.

Golf courses in Georgia are beautiful, but is all this bike riding making you hot and hungry? Stop at Morgan's Grill at the clubhouse for an iced tea and a burger to replenish your pedaling energy. Be sure to check the pond left of the clubhouse for a gator - they sometimes make a home here.

The Jekyll Island Tennis Center is just down the road. Don't miss the chance to stop in and say "hi" to Pete Poole, the resident pro. Might want to book a lesson to improve that forehand.

From the Tennis Center, hook a left onto Old Plantation Road. Follow this quiet neighborhood roadway on back to the Historic District.
